Sheraton Sideboard by Giotto Stoppino and Lodovico Acerbis for Acerbis, 1970s. This model, a winner of the prestigious Compasso d’Oro in 1979. In 1984, it was exhibited in Tokyo as part of the “Design Furniture from Italy” exhibition. The sideboard presented here is crafted in laminate and Tanganyika walnut-veneered wood, a rare version with exposed wood detailing. It features two sliding doors that reveal the central section, which houses four drawers. A distinctive design element lies in the doors: halfway through their movement, they transition from sliding to swinging open.
