A rare 1930s Romanian modernist desk with exceptional provenance. Originally brought to London by a Polish Jew fleeing the Nazis, the desk was later inherited by his daughter and kept in a flat within the iconic Barbican Estate in the City of London. This striking piece features an ebonized finish, with two cupboards—one housing a distinctive semi-circular dome that opens to reveal shelves—and a single drawer at the front. A remarkable find that combines historical significance with timeless design. VAT to be added if sold in the UK.
