ROBERT MALLET STEVENS CHAIRS - HIRE ONLY

Robert Mallet-Stevens chairs model 222.  The set features lacquered metal frames made in France and designed in 1928. This model of a chair is one of Mallet-Stevens's best-known pieces of furniture that he created for the Salon des Art Ménagers exhibition in 1936. Mallet-Stevens' viewpoint was that furniture design should be “Functional in terms of contemporary living, simple and suitable for mass production”. The chair is a masterpiece of simplicity - durable and stackable. All possible decorative conceits are left out. The chairs are marked with RMS at the bottom.
