A rounded base contrasts with the brass uplighter, with a beautiful patina throughout. Produced by Azucena in the 1940s. Milanese architect and designer Luigi Caccia Dominioni (1913–2016) played a key role in postwar Milan’s revival and won multiple Compasso d’Oro awards. He first gained recognition collaborating with Livio and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni on pioneering radios before co-founding Azucena in 1947 with Ignazio Gardella and Corrado Corradi Dell’Acqua.
