A versatile lounge set by Luigi Pellegrin for MIM Italy, circa 1970. It consists of one three seater sofa element and one corner element / armchair which allows for different compositions.

The construction of the base is what makes this sofa unique and visually convincing, as it is based on trapezoid planes that together form a hourglass - sharp and angular in its execution. Ico Parisi (MIM) functioned both as designer and creative director and he collaborated with new visionary designers such as Luigi Pellegrin (1925-2001).

MIM produced furniture that incorporated new innovations and materials and became unrivalled in the postmodern Italian design world.

This set has recently been reupholsered staying true to original colours.
