Professor Oswald Mathias Ungers was regarded as a strong advocate for the use of classical geometry for designing furniture.
These chairs were designed for the Baden State Library in Karlsruhe, Germany in 1988. A remarkable detail is the square seat upholstered in black leather which is outlined by the wooden frame, emphasizing the sleek look of the chair.
